Advanced Special FX Makeup for Film, Theater, and Cosplay!

Advanced Special FX Makeup Supplies: 
All these items can be found in most kitchens, bathrooms, craft closets, drugstores, party stores, or Amazon.com.  If you happen to have or want to get a Special FX Gore Makeup kit, you can find a good one by Mehron on Amazon or can research other options. 

Liquid Latex (at least 4 - 6oz) or a bottle of School Glue (not Modge Podge!)

Paper towel and Cotton Balls and Cotton Pads

Flour

Vaseline

Used, dry Coffee Grounds  

Pieces of a plastic bottle or a broken plastic plate or bits of plastic forks, etc OR pieces of Cardboard or a Playing Card

Foundation or Concealer

Halloween Makeup OR Eyeshadow OR Lipstick in Shades of Greens, Brown, Red, Yellow, Purple, Black (if you have a special effects gore kit or find a bruise wheel kit at a party store, this will provide you with all the colors you need)

Setting powder OR Baby Powder

Scar Wax (you can find on Amazon or at party stores in the Halloween makeup section) OR Homemade Scar wax (you can make with flour and vaseline)

Fake Blood (available at most party stores or Amazon)
* OR we will make fake blood in class using Pancake Syrup, Honey, or Corn Syrup, Cocoa Powder, and Red food coloring

A couple of bowls or cups and spoons for measuring and stiring

* A Foam Wig Head (Optional if you don't want to do your makeup designs on yourself)

A Blow dryer

Makeup brushes and sponges 

Washcloth, paper towels for cleanup and a clear surface to work.
