Class Experience

Students will learn a step by step process on how to draw their very own and personalized snow globe! Students will come to class with an idea of their favorite winter memory whether it be a snowman, a cup of hot cocoa, a reindeer, or all three! We will then draw out a few of our favorite winter memories to practice! Once the student chooses what they'd like in the center of their globe, we'll begin to draw our snow globe shape and add our wonderful details in the center. There will be a circle tracer provided as a pdf for your student that can be printed and traced.

Students will receive tips and tricks to make it look like their globe is popping right off the page! I will be demonstrating how to draw candy canes, snowmen, hot cocoa mugs and snowflakes! Any other winter memories will be up to the student to draw on their own but are certainly welcome! This class is suitable for all types of artists however, I recommend coming in with some drawing experience. Please feel free to reach out concerning your child's eligibility!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi all!

I'm so excited to continue my career as an Art teacher through Outschool! I am certified in New York State to teach all Visual Arts classes for ages K-12 and have my Masters Degree in Art Education. I have experience with all grades and absolutely LOVE kids!

I have previously taught:
-Drawing & Painting
-Fashion
-Ceramics
-Calligraphy
-Studio Art
-Cartooning

These are only a few specialty subjects I've taught outside of grade school art. My personal favorite mediums to work with are watercolor paint and pencil.

In my teaching experience, I've been able to offer both beginner and advanced sections of all my classes and sincerely enjoyed every minute of it. My teaching style revolves around making a positive and motivational rapport with my students and creating a space where they can exceed their own expectations. It's truly my pride and joy to watch my students grow!

A little about me... I was born and raised in New York but recently moved to Hawaii from Florida because my family proudly serves in the military. I have two little cats and a puppy who I adore and love to take pictures of. I might just be a crazy cat lady! I've had the privilege to travel around the world as well as work as a group leader for a teen travel camp over the past 3 summers. I've been a high school cheerleading coach for the past 6 years and would be more than happy to provide private coaching lessons as well!

I happily take suggestions regarding new class material; please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Thank you for taking the time to read all this info and I so look forward to becoming a part of your educational success!
