🎉 Class Experience: Advanced Scratch Ages 10-14 Weekly Club 🎉 In this interactive weekly class, students will think like designers as they create exciting projects in Scratch! They'll master advanced coding skills like loops, conditionals, variables, debugging, and more while collaborating on innovative games and animations. 🌟 What will be taught? Students will focus on: Advanced game design techniques Creating interactive animations and stories Collaborative coding and peer feedback 📅 Class Structure: Welcome + Introductions (5 minutes) Coding Project in Scratch (30 minutes) Brainstorming & Extensions (15 minutes) Student Project Showcase + Goodbye (5 minutes) 👩🏫 Teaching Style: Our teaching approach is highly interactive, with a maximum of 6 students per class to ensure personalized attention. We’ll engage in discussions, collaborate on projects, and we'll provide real-time support and feedback throughout the session. 💡 Interaction: Students will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share ideas, and showcase their work. If a student misses the first part of a project, a Starter file will be sent to help them catch up. This ongoing class allows new students to join at any time! ✨ Note: This class is designed for advanced Scratch users. To be considered advanced, students should have a Scratch login, be familiar with various Scratch blocks, and have completed a few projects. Learning Goals
After these classes, students will confidently create advanced projects in Scratch. They'll master loops, conditionals, and variables while enhancing their problem-solving and collaboration skills, equipping them for future coding challenges.

Parental Guidance
Students will use Scratch to participate in class. Students must access the Scratch account using a laptop or a computer in class (no smartphones, iPads or tablets). Students will use their own Scratch account to code while following instructions from the teacher. Students may continue to use their Scratch account outside of class.

🛠️ Learner Supply List: Your student will need: A free Scratch account. Visit Scratch to create one! 🐱👤 Access to a laptop or desktop computer with Zoom installed and screen-sharing enabled. 💻 An internet connection of 3mbps+ for smooth participation. 🌐 A working speaker, microphone, and webcam. All Windows and Mac operating systems from the last five years are supported! 🎤📹 📱 Note: iPads are not recommended for this class, but feel free to reach out if you have any questions! 💡 Reminder: Please ensure an adult is available for the first 5 minutes of class to assist with setup and troubleshooting.

At Coco Coders we teach children between the age of 6-14 how to code at our Live Online Clubs and Camps through exciting themed content such as architecture, fashion and conservation to name a few. Depending on age, we teach using a variety of programs and languages including Scratch, JavaScript and CoSpaces.
Coco Coders has been teaching children how to code since 2016 at in-person and live online clubs and camps. We have amazing teachers on-board who are super passionate in helping your child get future ready!
We don't believe in creating a world of little computing scientists but we created a curriculum that allows our students to gain an understanding of computational thinking concepts for whatever career they choose to go into in the future!
