This class will dive into the production and performance of a radio morning show. We start in the writers room. The D.J.’s (learners) will create the content for the show, practice commercials spots, and prepare for a ½ hour radio show. D.J.’s will have a blank outline of the days program format that they will write together and delivery the completed show during the last part of the class. Each learner will have a quick and easy cheat sheet to come up with ideas before class. We will work on voice quality, improv skills, and the delivery of quality content. This is a great class for anyone wanting to create their own Podcast or want to experience a career in radio broadcasting.
Learning Goals
How to write quality content for radio shows and podcasting. Develop a skill in taking real life experiences and observations and create entertaining content. Reading scripts and delivery content in a conversational way. Teamwork skills by being with fellow learners writing material for show. Learning valuable improvisation skills needed in today's workplace. Confidence and communication skills are a big take away.

Each D.J. (learner) will have a show format sheet to download and print. We will be filling this out during class. a microphone and earphones are suggested, a gaming type headset works as well. a bottle of water and a writing instrument. Pencil is the best. I really like a quiet distraction free enviroment. message with any questions or concerns.

My name is Michael Schmitt and I have been performing and teaching improv for over 20 years. I am an Voice Over Actor and love unique and engaging creating characters, plots, locations and script in multiple genres. My classes focus on communication, confidence, team building, character development and most important the benefits of Improv. Each class is highly interactive and engaging. I have given hundreds of presentations and evaluations as a member of Toastmaster International. I also competed in the World Championships of Public Speaking. I learned a great deal on delivering a professional performance and also how to watch and give constructive direction to others. I embrace an enthusiastic approach to learning and enjoy teaching the self discovery of your imagination. I am a amateur magician and have been performing slight of hand for my entire life. I can also make three balloon animals.
