In this 6 week course, learners will build upon their current level of Norwegian in order to expand their speaking and cultural fluency.
Class experience
Class structure will build on students' prior knowledge of the Norwegian language. If the student has intermediate level Norwegian skills acquired during family interactions/travel, at Skogfjorden (MN) camp or in my Intermediate Norwegian classes, they should be able to complete advanced level assignments. I have taught Norwegian both in an immersion camp setting (Skogfjorden,MN) and as a in-person and virtual tutor. My B.A. is in Scandinavian Languages & Literature.
Homework Offered
Students will have between 1-2 hours of homework between classes on the Ny i Norge and IGIN Tekstlab grammar websites. They will also be asked to read articles and answer questions about them in Norwegian.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will present a final essay or project during the last session based on their learning progression in this course.Grades Offered
