Welcome to Advanced Math League: are you ready to "level up" your math skills?
In this fun, ongoing, club style course, we will work together as a class to solve multi-step word problems. Together weāll explore how to understand, approach, and solve math problems. Students will gain experience using math skills such as multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. Problems will include components like fractions, percentages, patterns, ratios, variables, and more.
This class is meant to be an exciting challenge for students who love math and problem solving. Some of the math we cover may be new to students in class. The teacher will help students understand each problem, and will offer assistance as necessary. The class will work together as a team, helping each other, to find a solution. Active participation will be highly encouraged throughout our classes.
This class will also show students just how much fun math can be.
Each problem will be multi-step and require multiple calculations. Problems will not repeat from week to week. This class is meant for students seeking a fun challenge or who wish to be excited by a new set of problems.
