We will delve into the anatomy, specific care tips, and fun facts about guinea pigs! This class features visits from four live guinea pigs named Jewel, Charlie, Cookie Dough, and Scruffy! Nails, and baths, and glands oh my! They sure are cute, but they do need to be taken care of in specific ways, beyond the basic food, shelter, and love all guinea pigs should receive from their humans. Your very own guinea pigs are welcome to attend the class as well, as long as they are in a safe and secure place when the learner can not be directly interacting with the pigs. Learners are not required to have any prior knowledge, but taking my Care and Keeping of Guinea Pigs class is recommended.
Learning Goals
After attending this class, learners will be able to identify the basic body parts of guinea pigs, be able to look for clues as to whether a guinea pig is a boy or girl, and decide on the best feeding routine for a guinea pig.
