In this class, we will be learning how to decorate using a professional style piping techniques, and basic fondant skills. We will discuss the basics of baking: accurate measuring, how to choose ingredients, and decorating techniques. This course is designed to be fun and informative. Your student will need some prior knowledge of working in the kitchen and accurate measuring (adult supervision/assistance is recommended when handling the mixer). Students will learn to make and handle buttercream frosting and fondant. Students will learn decorating techniques using piping bags.
A complete supply list will be sent prior to class. Supplies will include: electric mixer for buttercream piping bags and cake tips (highly recommend wilton 1M or 2D for rosettes, and a 125 for ruffles) rolling pin powdered sugar butter marshmallows
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental supervision while using the mixer is recommended for younger students
