Advanced Composers Club is a place for kids who love to compose music to get together and share compositions, tips, and ideas for new music. If you already know some music theory (like note names, chord names, and writing a melody), and you are eager to compose, share your compositions with other kids, and hear other kids' compositions, you will have a lot of fun in this club. All students will have a chance to show their compositions for positive, constructive feedback and encouragement. ...
As a certified (K-12) music teacher, I have been trained to teach music as an art form, so that people with all kinds of life experiences and beliefs can participate in making music objectively, in a safe space. I absolutely respect learner diversity, and welcome feedback on specific sensitive topics (i.e. family or cultural beliefs that make certain music sensitive). Conversations about sensitivity will be treated with the highest discretion.
