In this advanced class, we will expand on the brief topics discussed in my beginner guide to elapids. Learners will be introduced to the array of cobras within the cobra family and 1 section will be spent on King Cobas. Learners will receive information on their anatomy, ecology and diet. We will go into how their venom affects the body and what they use it for. I teach in a loose lecture style with lots of encouragement to interact. We will use live zoom classes during these 4 sections, with many visual aids. I suggest taking my beginners guide to elapids course first if there is no previous knowledge of these reptiles. 

Daily sections will be as follows:

1. A anatomy overview, bone structure, organ placement and movements
2. A venom system breakdown, fangs, venom glands and the toxin. ( cobras bite aftermath pictures)
3. A detailed break down of all African cobra species 
4. A detailed breakdown of all Asian cobra species (yes, king cobras too)
