Class Experience
Each week students will play a series of fast paced exciting chess matches on my OutSchool exclusive chess platform, https://CohenChessClub.com We will use a 7 minute per side time control/limit with a 2 second increment added for each move. This is an ongoing OutSchool class so every week features a new tournament. This class is designed for students with tournament experience. I played competitively in chess tournaments beginning at the age of 10 until I began running my own chess clubs as a middle school teacher for 17 years. My peak USCF rating is 1850.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
At the beginning of 2022 we began using my new chess platform CohenChessClub.com. This website is exclusive for my Outschool students and does not require students to register for an account. I will create an account for each student after they register for the class. No personal information such as last name or location will be collected or stored by Cohen Chess Club.
