Advanced Beginner Popular Piano Class | Rockschool Exam Syllabus (Debut Level)

Welcome to our Rockschool Popular Piano Exam preparation group class at the Debut level, where personalized learning meets the thrill of musical exploration! In this intimate setting with a maximum of three learners, we follow the Rockschool syllabus, tailoring our pace to match your individual progress. 
Our expert instructor ensures that each student receives focused attention and guidance, allowing for a deep dive into the intricacies of piano playing. Embracing a dynamic curriculum, we introduce a new group every month, fostering a supportive community of like-minded musicians. With a commitment to mastery, we embark on a journey of musical discovery, mastering one song every 8 weeks. Class will be cancelled if the group is not in a minimum of 2 learners.

Class flow:
Warm up with scales and techniques
Review on practice the previous class
Learn new parts

*Learners will be muted while practicing together with the teacher as a group, then they will be invited to unmute and play individually with customized instructions. Learners are expected to know how to mute and unmute themselves during the class.


Course Prerequisites:

Proficiency in notes on treble and bass clefs.
Familiarity with fingering (1 to 5) on piano.
Basic rhythm reading skills.

Beginner learners are recommended to take our beginner piano class part 1 and 2 first.

Each group will follow the list:

Week 1: Right hand first page of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
Week 2: Right hand 2nd page of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
Week 3: Left hand first page of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
Week 4: Left hand 2nd page of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
Week 5: both hands of the first page of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
Week 6: both hands of the 2nd page of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
Week 7: both hands of 2 pages
Week 8: Final individual performance and instruction of the song "Imagine by John Lennon"
