Description
Class Experience
This is an advanced ballet class. It is therefore expected that participants have had previous experience and training. This class focuses on technique, musicality, and performance. An emphasis will also be placed on anatomy and physiology, injury prevention, as well as ballet history and terminology. For best safety practices, we will begin at the barre for a warm up light stretching. We will do some center work in the forms of adage, petit allegro, and if space allows, grand allegro....
- Students will be exposed to classical ballet terminology - Students will be exposed to dance etiquette - Students will gain body awareness - Students will improve flexibility and strength - Students will have fun with peers - Students will exercise their bodies and their minds
Dancers will need a large, safe space to dance, preferable on a slip-free surface. Dancers should wear clothes that allow for a wide range of movement, and proper footwear is required. Hair should be tied back away from the face.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
