Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how to:
-apply specific baking techniques to advanced baking recipes (such as laminating pastry dough, frying pastry shells, piping macaron shells, and kneading bread)
-adjust to address baking issues that arise
-develop perseverance and resilience
Recipe ingredients and supplies will be posted monthly based on which baked good we're trying. Some supplies will cost money, such as cannoli tubes, but we can always try working with the supplies you have on hand.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using the stove, oven, knives, and other pastry tools. If you prefer to supervise your learner during those activities, make sure to check the recipe of the month which will explain when those activities occur during the lesson.
If there are any allergens, I will note them in the monthly recipe and offer substitutions.
