Do you have experience making animations in Procreate? Are you looking to advance your skills to the next level? In this class, learners will create an animation where both the character and background move. *Please note: This is an ADVANCED class. Learners are expected to already know how to navigate and use Procreate. Students who have not animated using Procreate before should take Procreate Animation Camp or Beginner Animation Using Procreate instead, which are both suitable for beginners. Procreate is only available for Apple devices. Students MUST have the Procreate app installed on their device prior to class to be able to take it. It's ok if students need to use the same device for both Zoom and Procreate. A stylus of some kind is helpful but not necessary. Students are encouraged to ask questions or let me know if they are having trouble at any time! I share my screen throughout class so students can see exactly how to navigate the app and can follow along in real time. I pause between steps to give everyone a chance to complete them and love seeing what students come up with. Day 1: Create the character and movement frames. Day 2: Create the background. Day 3: Finish up character and background. Combine the character and background to complete the animation. Parental Guidance
We will be using the Procreate app which is only available in the Apple app store for use on iPads. Learners do not need an account or sign in to use the app. Once it's installed it's ready to use.

Hi! I'm Mrs. Huey and I teach elementary and middle school aged kids how to draw and animate on iPads using the Procreate app. These classes are a fun, safe place to foster creativity, showcase artistic expression, and let learners be their most authentic selves.
In my classes, we gather together to explore the far reaches of our imaginations. Whether drawing an under-the-sea waterscape, animating a prehistoric sauropod, or taking creative license with a hand drawn selfie, everyone's ideas and personalities are welcomed.
I've been working as an elementary school teacher in private, public, and charter schools in Northern California since 2009. Prior to that, I earned a B.A. in communication with a minor in environmental science and spent some time working in the public relations industry.
