Advanced 2nd/3rd Grade Math Incorporating Beast Academy Online Level 2 Part 2

** Please Read before enrolling. The Beast Academy online program requires each student to have their own account. I will have accounts for students that are included in the price of the class. 

Prerequisite: Beast Academy is a different kind of challenging Math program for the Math lover. Students will need to have a basic understanding of numbers, skip counting, the number line, and basic addition and subtraction. It is puzzle based and requires out of the box thinking. In this 18 week course, students will learn and strengthen their Math skills with the unique Beast Academy curriculum. Beast Academy is a different, unconventional method to learning Math. It serves as a complete curriculum for students. There is also a line of books that you can purchase to compliment the online program. 

 There are 4 levels in Beast Academy. This class is for students starting in Level 2, Chapter 1. Level 2 is the most foundational level, and the students are younger, so it is split into 2 parts. This class will serve as a class to cover the material in chapters 7-12(the equivalent of 2C and 2D) Each class, students should be logged in to their accounts and ready to start class. Here is a breakdown of how the class will run each week:

1. I will begin class by answering any questions the students may have on the homework and previous lesson. 

2.Then we will work through problems in the chapters together, starting in chapter 1. 

3. I will then give the students the remaining class time to practice on their own while guiding them and answering questions. I will also give students guidance on which questions from each chapter they should work on for that week. 

Since I will have an instructor account, I will be able to keep track of the kids progress.  The account will give the learners access to all Beast Academy levels, so we can go at a pace that suits the students needs.  I will not be assigning grades in the class unless requested. Please let me know if your student will need a semester grade. Even though homework is not required, I highly encourage each student to work on all the assigned problems and bring questions to the next class.  I will be available for questions throughout the week through email. I can also set up a 1:1 session if needed.
