In Tap, we will cover, alternating drawbacks, double pull backs, double waltz clog, double cramp rolls, maxi-fours with pull back, tap turns, wings, buffalos and maxi fords, and more. In addition, each week we will learn a new tap combination to perform in a recital
I have been teaching dance for the past 3 years, and I have taught beginner/intermediate level dance in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Lyrical. In addition, I have choreographed many middle school productions. I also will have a minor in dance, Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology (graduating December 2020).
Students will be participating in a physical fitness/movement activities throughout the class. Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves. Therefore please make sure your child has sufficient dance space, proper footwear (choice of ballet shoes, or barefoot/socks). In addition, I encourage all students to have a water bottle nearby and that the student is warmed up before class to avoid injuries. Parental supervision is strongly encourage to help your dancer assure there safety and spacial awareness.
