In this course, Learners will learn basics about how to care for a car. In this class, we will discuss: - How to check the oil -How to check tire pressure -How to fill tires with air -Where to find the gas pump on your car... Without getting out! - How to hook up jumper cables to jump your battery. - Getting an oil change Some of these concepts may be taught with a pre-recorded video, such as filling tires and hooking up jumper cables to a second car. Interaction will take place through guided discussion and optional hands-on experiences.

Parental Guidance
We will be dealing with cars, air compressors, other machines and corrosive materials. Students do not need a vehicle to follow along, nor are they required to mimick the teacher during class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Whitney and I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my expertise with you! I have a Bachelors degree from Florida State University, and I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught formally in a preschool classroom, and I currently teach ESL online. I have also taught horseback riding, rowing, canning, Sunday school, and I look forward to sharing my classroom with you!
I believe that learning should be FUN! Some times a bit messy, maybe a bit silly, but always full of smiles and laughter. I believe that we remember what we learn best when we remember the experience as a positive one. I also believe that life can be one of the greatest educators. I love to bring real life examples into my classes.
When I am not spending with my family and dogs, I enjoy teaching sewing classes, budgeting classes, science, English, art, and having a fun and educational story time for young learners. Often times, I will bring my dogs to class as teaching tools!
