If you're looking to learn how to edit - whether that be movies, Youtube videos, Tiktoks, music videos, and more - you've come to the right place! In this one-time course, you will learn the basics of editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. This includes: -Organizing files/file structure -Importing clips -Creating and importing clips to the timeline -How to trim and cut clips -The difference between source monitor vs. program monitor -Creating bins to organize clips -Adding music/sound effects and titles/text After learning the above, students will be given a chance to practice with some clips I will provide. ***If you don’t see a suitable time, feel free to use the auto-scheduler (click “Show Alternative Times”) or message me to make a section that suits your schedule.*** No experience necessary. Beginner course open to all. Must have a working version of Adobe Premiere Pro installed on their computer. It is preferred that the student has Zoom and Premiere Pro open on one device for this class (some students have the Zoom open on one device and Premiere Pro on another). I prefer one device because if the student is having issues, they can share their screen and I can help them out. :) If your learner is under the age of 13 and still would like to take the class, send me a message. Hi there! Teacher Tirath here! Nice to (virtually) meet you! :)
I am so excited to be on Outschool to teach creative courses! I have 4+ years of teaching both English and math to students of all ages, and have been teaching English online for almost three years. I also have experience leading arts camps as well as working with children on film sets. I am excited about this opportunity to be able to continue to open my classroom to students from all over the world!
In terms of my qualifications, I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film Production. My specializations were screenwriting, directing, editing and sound. I have made a few short films of my own which have been shown at film festivals, and I also have done lots of editing work in the past few years. Needless to say, creativity is my passion!
I also have a Bachelors of Science, and love teaching classes that blend both science and the arts!
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and full of positivity. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, so I like to keep my classes engaging and full of fun! Also a positive learning environment is a must in my book!
When I’m not teaching or doing film work, I like to read books, draw, listen to music, and spend some time in nature, whether that be hiking, walking, or biking! I am a total tree hugger!
