Creative writing should be fun!  In this 45 minute class, students will learn to be more descriptive in their writing by using adjectives and adverbs in more creative and advanced ways.  I will teach this course using SOME lecture at first, providing examples of boring and interesting sentences, then getting student input to help me write more creatively before having them write sentences of their own to be praised, critiqued, and corrected.  

The ultimate goal is for students to write their own sentences, read them, and reason out whether they could be more descriptive, then correcting that on their own.  There will be much discussion of writing, descriptive words, and everyone's ability to be creative!  My teaching style is a can-do style that makes children feel happy, successful, and fired-up about their own writing ability.  

Students should be able to communicate in some way to be successful in this class, be that writing, typing, or speaking, so that their sentences may be heard.  An inability to physically write will not keep a child from participating this class!
