Class Experience
Students will be taught how the ADHD brain works, using it as a "super power", and organizational skills. The topics that will be covered are goal setting, self talk, and strategies to help make life easier. We will specifically examine: getting stuck on a task, procrastination, feeling unsure of next steps, forgetting homework, and missing deadlines. Students will be taught to use the following strategy: Stop. What could I do first? What could I do second? What could I do next? What...

Students will improve their self awareness and organizational skills.
Master's in the Science of Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Development
Students will be asked to implement what they learn in class.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will refer to teacher created material on nearpod. The lesson will consist of a power point and discussion. Students will be asked to write down their own ideas and put them somewhere visible. Example: they will create a short term goal and put it up on the fridge where they can see it.
