Class Experience

This is a one-time discussion-based class. In class we will learn about making a list, planning ahead for long term activities and projects, getting small amounts done daily instead of saving all our work until the last minute, the impact that our forgetfulness may have on others and motivating ourselves to do tough stuff we don't feel like doing. The teacher will model several organizational and time management strategies. These include Google Keep, Habitica, A tear-off planning sheet, and a Post-It note planner model. Learners will brainstorm a list of fun activities that will hopefully allow your teen to identify something fun projects that they would like to plan and execute. They will choose one of these activities and use one of the planning techniques they learned to break it down into the manageable steps that will be necessary to make that project successful.

Families will receive a number of organizational templates to remind students of what we learned in class and give students strategies to use in the future.
