Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
I have been a teacher for over 10 years. I have ADHD and struggle every day to overcome the challenges that come along with it. I have a Masters degree in Special Education and I have specialized training and years of experience teaching behavior modification/life skills.
Required: *Homework assignments or other academic/work related projects to complete. Optional: *Fidget Toys *Headphones for noise cancellation or to listen to music *Snacks *Whatever you need to make yourself feel comfortable and relaxed while we get some homework done
2 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will refer to commonly accepted research based coping strategies and life management tools for our lessons. Some of the experts I draw my lessons from are the following: Dr. Russel Barkley, Dr. Edward Hallowell, additudemag.org, and add.org.
