Homework prior to the class beginning will be to have all the requested supplies ready and next to the student at the start of class. As a continuation from the very first course on organization, to show the importance of preparation. Following the class there is not direct homework assigned, although it is recommended that the learners continue to use the note, calendar, and organizational skills learned to set up their week to support their thought patterns. Implementation is key to learning any new skill.
Setting ourselves up for success – supplies you will need throughout these courses: Journal (can be a bound journal or notebook) we will create Bullet Journals as part or organization and calendaring Sticky Notes / Post-it notes (multiple colors) Highlighters (multiple colors)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Below are some general classroom rules and policies. These will also be explained to students when we begin class! -For everyone's safety, and to ensure an engaging and social experience, students are expected to have working microphones and video for the entirety of this class, positioned such that we can both hear and see them.(*Please let me know in advance if your student needs their camera off or is a verified Outschool-camera off student). Thank you. -Students are asked not to use virtual backgrounds. -I keep all students muted to prevent background noises from becoming distracting. If a student would like to ask a question, add to the conversation, or merely share an idea, they simply need to raise their hand, and I will unmute them as quickly as possible! -The Zoom chat is set to "host only", meaning students can chat with me, but not to one another or the entire classroom.
