Students will learn how to accept themselves as they come to understand ADHD/ADD. Students will learn how to communicate to others about their ADHD/ADD and advocate for themselves and their needs.
Mrs. Ali has been working with children for 11 years. Being a teacher, she has worked with over 500 students with neurodiversities, helping them learn how to succeed. As both a person with ADHD/ADD and a parent of a child with ADHD/ADD she has first hand experience of what ADHD/ADD looks like from both a child's perspective and the parents' perspective. She has practiced many different strategies with a variety of students, herself, and her child and has compiled a great many resources to help neurodiverse children.

Mrs. Ali has taken over 20 hours of college courses on childhood brain development and Psychology. She has worked alongside Special Education experts and Psychologists to develop plans of success for neurodiverse children on the Autism spectrum, that have ADHD, dyslexia, and more.
Students may want to have a journal to keep track of their progress and what they learn, but this is optional.
