This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about themselves and how to accept themselves as they are. They will learn about the strengths and struggles that come with ADHD. They will learn strategies to help them through these struggles and learn how to focus on their strengths.
Mrs. Ali has been working with children for 11 years. Being a teacher, she has worked with over 500 students with neurodiversities, helping them learn how to succeed. As both a person with ADHD/ADD and a parent of a child with ADHD/ADD she has first hand experience of what ADHD/ADD looks like from both a child's perspective and the parents' perspective. She has practiced many different strategies with a variety of students, herself, and her child and has compiled a great many resources to help neurodiverse children. Mrs. Ali has taken over 20 hours of college courses on childhood brain development and Psychology. She has worked alongside Special Education experts and Psychologists to develop plans of success for neurodiverse children on the Autism spectrum, that have ADHD, dyslexia, and more.
Homework Offered
There isn't official homework that will be graded. However there will be discussion questions and journal prompts for students to engage in to get the most out of the class.Assessments Offered

This class is created to help students with ADHD to understand how their brain works. It will give them tips and tricks to try and help them overcome their struggles.
Students may wish to have a journal to keep track of their learning and growth. However, this is optional.
Please Note: This class is strictly informational and the goal is to teach students about how the ADHD brain works as well as provide techniques on handling ADHD. This will not be therapeutic in nature. This class cannot and should not replace professional medical advice. Sensitive Topics: The following weeks address topics that may be sensitive for your learner. In these classes, students are taught the symptoms of ADHD with these topics. We discuss strategies and techniques that students may use to address these struggles in their life as a person with ADHD or ADD.
