Adding & Subtracting Fractions and Mixed Numbers (Word Problems!) BUNDLE

***This is a fraction bundle where students will meet daily for 1 week. (5 times in one same week) ***
*** It is very important that students have a notebook and pencils ready for notes.***


Students will meet daily for 1 week to submerge into the world of fractions. Students will learn from the basics of adding and subtracting fraction with the same denominator to word problems of mixed numbers where borrowing is needed.
Every class will start with students taking notes on the lesson of the day. Learners will follow along listening to the steps needed to add and subtract fractions. After a few examples, students will work on some examples as guided practice and I will monitor them making sure they are on the right path of success. When I feel that students can work on their own I will assign them to problems as independent practice. 
Please check the description of the concept that will be discuss day by day.

Day 1: Students will learn how to convert an improper fraction to a mixed number and vice versa which is sometimes needed to simplify answers. Students will also learn how to add and subtract mixed numbers having the same denominator.

Day 2: Students will learn the appropriate steps needed to add or subtract fractions when the denominator is not the same.

Day 3: Students will learn to add or subtract mixed numbers with common and different denominators.

Day 4: Will be a continuation of Day 3, students will continue practicing how to add and subtract mixed numbers with different denominators. 

Day 5: Students will work on adding and subtracting fractions in the form of word problems. They will solve examples of each type of problems learned throughout the week.


There will also be a quiz regarding all the concepts learned on this fractions bundle that students will have the chance to complete after the 5th day of our meetings.
I can receive these exams completed by the students and I will happily grade them.
