Oh no! Farmer Ted has lost his keys to the farm! In order to find the farmer's keys learners must correctly solve a variety of addition problems (within 15). After finding the key, students will learn fun facts about a farm animal. There are 10 facts in all, and student's will learn about 10 different farm animals with fun facts, pictures and a short video that shows the real life animal. A fun, interactive way to practice addition and incorporate science! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Class Policies: 1. I aim to keep classes close to the scheduled amount of time. However, classes with low enrollments or especially talkative students may run a few minutes under or a few minutes over. 2. I want each student to have an engaging time both with me and with fellow classmates. Therefore, If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements, (usually 2) the section will be cancelled. I will contact the parent before cancellation to transfer the student to a new section. Depending on the circumstances, I may still teach a single-learner class. 3. Classes will begin at the scheduled time, even if all learners are not in the classroom (unless there appears to be a technical issue). I will not be able to contact absent learners during class time because I'll be focused on teaching the attending students. If you would like to transfer your student to a future class, please contact me with the requested schedule. 4. If no students are present in the classroom when class is meant to begin, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting. Once I exit the classroom, the class will be considered finished. 5. Classroom expectations are as follows: a. Students will not be muted in the classroom, unless there is excessive background noise that is disruptive to the learning of others. I will review class rules at the start of each lesson [ex: raising your hand]. b. Students are expected to participate as much as they can or feel comfortable. I understand some students may be reserved or shy - they will not be forced to speak up! Younger students can bring a stuffed toy or remain standing during class if it helps them focus. I would ask older students to not have their phones with them during the lesson. c. Parents and siblings can watch the class OFF camera. However, if siblings are going to both participate, each sibling must be enrolled in the lesson individually. d. My classrooms are designed to be inclusive and welcoming, and I want each student to get the most out of their class. For this reason, if a student is disruptive during lesson, they will be given up to three warnings before being placed in the waiting room. The student will be readmitted to class when the teacher feels they are ready to rejoin. If behaviors are extreme enough, the parent will be contacted by the teacher and the OutSchool team will be notified as well.
Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Miss Juli. At Outschool I offer tutoring, teach beginning reading skills, grammar, and math games, along with fun trivia games for ages 8-12.
I hold two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Early Childhood Education and another in Music Performance (voice). I am a certified teacher in the state of Massachusetts and am Wilson certified. I have been an Early Childhood teacher for 18 years! Within 15 years, I have taught Preschool, Kindergarten, First and Second Grade. For the past three years I have been working with Kindergarten through Fourth Grade as a Reading Interventionist. Teaching is one of my passions and I am so grateful that I can share it with young people who have a desire to learn!
Along with being a teacher I am also a mom of two children, ages 11 and 8. My hobbies include camping, reading, singing, exercising, and learning new things!
At Outschool I will strive to give your child a fun learning experience. I believe that learning is important yet can be presented in away to engage children and have a positive outcome.
