In this one-time class, we will be exploring addition and subtraction of fractions and mixed numbers. Students will practice coming up with common denominators and equivalent fractions in order to add and subtract fractions properly.

Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators. Students will be able to find common denominators using the least common multiple. Students will be able to convert mixed numbers to improper fractions and improper fractions to mixed numbers.
Notebook/paper and pencil OR whiteboard and dry erase markers
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
