Description
Class Experience
This camp is designed for kids with a range of disabilities who may enjoy activities that are typically considered to be for younger children. As an autistic adult myself I often felt distanced from my peers because I didn't always enjoy the same things they did and liked things that they often considered "babyish". I know that many kids today are going through this same this, some far more extremely than I did and I want to give them a place where they can interact with others like them and...
I am an autistic adult who has worked with all different kinds of children for over 10 years including as a community support worker for autistic teens and tweens. I have also worked as a caregiver, a private tutor a classroom aide, and a Mountisorri guide. I have my associate's degree in special education. I have worked in various capacities with children who are autistic, ADHA, ESL learners, etc. I have been leading social groups for students ages 3-18 on Outschool since January 2020. My most successful social groups are my ones for autistic children and teens. If you have concerns or questions about my abilities to work with children or teens with learning differences I would recommend checking reviews for any of the following classes as they are my ones with the most review, Social Group for Autistic Childer, Social Group for autistic Tweens, Social Group for Autistic Teens. Also please feel free to message me whith any questions or concerns you may have.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
