Description
Class Experience
Students will learn intermediate level dance moves and techniques that help improve axial and locomotive movements, balance and coordination skills, memory skills, rhythm technique, and bilateral movements. These exercises will also assist in improving social skills, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills.
I received my level 2 spectrum dance therapy (SDT) certification through the Arts For Autism Foundation, and have attended several inclusion trainings and workshops, including creativity & inclusive practices in the arts trainings hosted by All Kids Included (AKI). Additionally, I have been employed with the Miami-Dade County Disability Services department for 6 years, giving me first hand experience teaching and working with individuals with developmental disabilities of various ages in diverse environments since 2014.

This class requires an open workout space and parental supervision, as we will be engaging in physical activity that could result in injury. A water bottle should be readily available, and close toed footwear is required for safety.
