Welcome to the ACT/SAT READING Preparation course. This course is designed for students who wish to practice and improve their test-taking skills in preparation for the ACT/SAT Reading Portion of the College Entrance Examination. This course will be driven by using TWO aligned workbooks containing 6 - 10 practice ACT & SAT tests and by suggesting basic reading strategies that can be applied while testing. Students will gain an understanding of how to prepare and practice for the ACT/SAT Reading segment of the college entrance test.
I have had more than 20 years of classroom and tutorial experience teaching Classical English Literature, Formal Writing & Research, Basic Reading (READ 180), Critical Reading, Debating, and Language Arts Test Preparation for elementary, middle, and high school learners. I have a plethora of extensive professional development training in assisting students with Standardized and College Preparation Entrance Examinations including and not limited to the ACT and SAT formats. Additionally, I worked with high school students to prepare them for the ACT & SAT at the New Jersey Institute of Technology during the summer months. For more than 10 years, I was able to achieve success by having students score within the 90th percentile on Standardized testing for all academic levels in public school settings.
