Class experience

US Grade 7 - 10

While I am a retired marriage & family therapist, I am also an author, blogger, and editor. I have over 10 years experience to gain experience and connections in the field of writing and publishing. My works include fiction and non fiction. I have such a huge passion for writing, reading, and story in general.
Homework Offered
Assessments Offered
During class, there will be practice writing times for students to try each type of writing.
Grades Offered
Students will need a way to do their writing:
A computer
A pen/pencil
A notebook/paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
While I do not plan on focusing on any mature material - this is a creative writing class. Some of the authors' works will have some mature content (ie war, death, violence, dystopian atmospheres, mystery, etc). As such, we will discuss different kinds of literature, different literary stories, different characters, and student stories. I do tailor some of my responses to the students' interests. The stories discussed may include: violence, death, and mystery. None of these issues will be the focus, but they may show up in the class. If you have a learner on the younger range of the class, and have more questions, please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
