Class Experience
This class will introduce learners to fun drama games that will get them moving and their creativity flowing. Whether they are aspiring actors or just looking to meet some friends and have some fun, this class will be a blast. We will explore, creating characters, exciting emotions and some basic on camera techniques. Learners get to act with each other and also have a turn taking center stage in many of our activities. Students will be introduced to many foundational acting techniques for stage, film and TV. Through the use of improv and acting exercises students will learn about how to create and commit to a character, as well as gaining confidence in their abilities through quick thinking and creativity.
Cassie is a professional actor living in Canada. She has taught acting classes all over Ontario, both online and in person. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from the University of Guelph as well as an Advanced Performance Diploma from George Brown Theatre School. She has been acting for over 15 years.
Comfortable clothes to move in and a safe space around you. We also recommend you have a water bottle nearby.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
