1-2 hours per week. My "assignments" will generally be in the form of them practicing the specific aspects of the lesson that we covered that day (i.e. "I'd love for you to memorize that scene that we read through together today.") Most of my "homework" is designed to keep them feeling enthusiastic and engaged in their sessions and growth!Progress Report

Beginner - Advanced Level
This acting class is for any and all experience/interest levels to help develop your learner's acting skills for theater, film, YouTube, commercial or just to boost confidence. Whether they want to be a pro someday or just want to play and have a bit of fun- they are in the right place! I am a professional performing artist of 20 years, and with my teaching I prioritize creating a fun, animated, uplifting space where learners feel safe to explore and try new things. Depending on the learner's experience and level, this class will include instruction on creating a character, scene study and memorization techniques. They will learn how to tap into and express their emotions in monologues and scenes. They will also learn improvisation and how to listen/react/respond to other actors/surroundings in a scene. If applicable, your learner will also learn audition preparation, etiquette and sequence!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
If the learner is currently in a show/role or preparing for an audition, we will use their current script to begin sessions. If not, we will draw from monologues and scenes from their favorite shows, movies, or musical theater pieces. The parent will need to write a note of approval of their learner's selections.

I am a classically trained, multi-award winning musical theater performer and actor of 20 years! I have also been acting coach, music director, and choreographer for youth musical theater productions in Los Angeles, CA. In addition, I have taught scene-work classes to high schoolers in California, New York, and Colorado. I also currently host and produce my own YouTube channel.
