30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one time course, learners will be given monologues and walked through the process of how to approach a new monologue as an actor. Learners will be taught how to identify a monologue and then will be taken through the process from a cold read through to exploring their characters and actions. This class will be interactive and appropriate for anyone from beginners to more experienced actors. The class will allow for learners to listen to others' ideas and practice of their monologues as well as share their own ideas with peers and do their monologues for the group. Learners will be able to help each other through the process and learn that when it comes to acting there are many approaches and ideas that could all be right. This laid back class does not require any prior knowledge and welcomes anyone with love of theatre, love of Disney, or willingness to try something new and have fun!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I am very excited to teach on outschool! I have my masters in early childhood and special education from Bank Street College of Education in NYC. I have taught preschool, Kindergarten, and first grade at in-person schools. I also have a background in theatre and have taught acting and dance both in-person and over zoom to learners ranging in age from pre-K through high school. I am also fluent in Hebrew and have taught and tutored in Hebrew for students throughout elementary school. When I am not teaching I love to read, be outside, watch movies, and most of all play with my two young children. I believe every student has something to offer a learning community and I hope to be able to teach and learn from you soon!
