Beginner - Advanced Level
This class is an opportunity for students of all skill levels to get one on one training that will help them grow and succeed as an actor. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS COURSE In working on scenes, monologues, and cold reads, students will learn skills and techniques that will help prepare them for any acting endeavors they pursue. Some methods and skills we will discuss include (but are not limited to) - Action and Objective acting - Transference - Finding and leaning into beats - Stage presence - Audition etiquette Each lesson will start with an acting exercise or warm up that will focus on a skill we can apply to our acting that day. We will end lessons with a discussion of what the student can practice before our next meeting. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - Students can bring their own materials to work on, or request new materials to help diversify their repertoire - Each lesson is tailored to meet the needs of the student. That means if your student has a specific goal they are working toward such as an audition or improving a certain skill, we can definitely work on it together! Just be sure to let me know so we are on the same page - This is a self scheduling class, which means I do not schedule times for it.
