Students will learn how important it is to use their five senses while acting, called Sensory Work. We will do improvisation exercises using sensory work. Sensory work is a technique that involves recalling an experience that will evoke different emotions, while using your five senses. Actors who understand this technique do much better in auditions. Students will leave this class understanding how to use their five senses when they are doing commercials, movies, voice overs and auditions.
A handout will be provided that will need to be downloaded and printed prior to the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
