Class Experience

Fully interactive class! Super fun. Learn how the stars do it and what they do behind the scenes to bring the magic to the screen. It is recommended students have watched Stranger Things Season 1.

Students can expect to have A brief introduction, warm-up game and brief lesson plan everyday. Then students will be broken into groups and put into breakout rooms where they will be working on the chosen scene and characters. While working on their scenes they will be given tasks to develop the scene which will always include Reading through the script to get a clear understanding first, then deciding on the characters objectives and tactics as well as working on reading the lines with different tones, feelings and intonation. Then students will perform your scene before the class in front of a mock audition panel complete with camera, clapperboard and loads of fun

Day 1: Introductions and welcome to class followed by a few room guidelines and expectations to ensure everyone has an incredible week! we will then play some improvisation warm-up games that help to build a really strong ensemble in which you will feel safe in performing. Then the exciting part that you’ve all been waiting for starts, we will be begin our table read of the episode we’ve chosen to work on this week:)

Day 2: Today we will start off with a few warm-up games it’s a loosen ourselves up and perhaps even a couple tongue twisters. Today we finish up the table read of episode two and then students will be assigned into small groups where they will be working on a specific scene. Today we will learn about character identity development and how developing the character fully changes everything, literally. Characters past has everything to do with their future, why they say what they do and why they say it how they do. You will have creative control on developing your characters!!! So much fun!

Day 3: Starting with improv to warm up our creative minds and then a lesson on understanding characters wardrobe and why it’s so important. Today we will also work on developing the scene with fun, at home props. Join our mates in breakout rooms and then come together to perform and be given a roaring applause followed by constructive feedback to work on for tomorrow’s class.

Day 4: Once again a grand and warm welcome to class with fun improvisation lessons to warm us up and tighten our ensemble even more. We will focus on emotional choices to add to our characters today, playing around with body language, facial expressions, where emotions present themselves on your body and paying attention to physicality.

Day 5: Yeah we made it to this fun and exciting day!!! Starts off warming up through improv, then into our groups to put our final pieces together. Then we will perform. You will be given feedback and if time allows back into your groups to implement the feedback, then perform again. Way to go! You did your Level 1 Summer Camp in Stranger Things!

Level 2 will be posted and open for registrations very soon.

No experience necessary. Just a willingness to learn, have fun, meet new friends and learn!

This class is super fun. You don’t need any experience to start and you don’t have to want to be an actor to join my classes!
