1 hour per week. Students will have to memorize and analyze scenes (1-3 pages depending on the scene) for each class. This will enhance their memorization skills which will help during their exams and in life!Assessment
Their understanding of the scene and character, the choices made for the script and character, and their confidence in performing the scene will be used to assess the progression of the student.Class Experience
This class is highly interactive to build self-confidence. All my classes involve ice-breakers, improv games, or physical warm-ups to release inhibitions creating a safe and fun environment. I want them to know this is a space where there are no judgments and they are free to enjoy their creativity and imagination as much as possible. The first class will be an introduction to acting. I will introduce an acting repetition technique for students and also the skill of cold reading. Scenes (appropriate for their age) to memorize and look over for the next class. The second class will be focused on Character and Script Analysis using assigned scenes. Afterward, monologues will be assigned to memorize for the next class along with another scene to analyze and memorize. In the third class, students will break down stages of the monologue they memorized. Students will learn what a monologue is and how it is best performed. Students will be given the chance to use their choices and interpretations when they perform their monologues. I will also do a Questions and Answers regarding Acting, Auditions, and Industry for the last 10 minutes
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence, be able to analyze scripts and characters. They will also learn how to make creative choices to make their characters believable and alive. Finally, they will understand the process of auditioning during a Mock Audition.

I feel that my acting skills have given me the confidence needed in performing well during interviews, relating easily to other people, and being more understanding of others by studying behavior.
