In this course we will give learners guidance on practicing the art of Improv scene work. Improv requires confidence, creativity and strong public speaking skills. My goal is to help build all three of these in a fun, welcoming and engaging environment. 
We will start off the class with a quick overview, and warm up exercises. Then we practice our improv skills with theme and character assignments. These will not be announced in advanced.  The goal is to encourage the learner to tap into their natural impulses, and use them to speak confidently in front of an audience. We will prompt and encourage, but this will be mostly learner-led.

This course includes a heavy emphasis on thinking outside the box to create a compelling, interesting scene work. Every learner will be given opportunities throughout the class to participate.  We will wrap up the class with positive feedback. This is a Beginner class, so there will not be any critiques. Instead, we are working to build up confidence in a field that can often be intimidating. 

Learners will leave the class with a beginner level knowledge of:
	-What makes a good improve scene.
	-How to select and enhance your natural impulses for great scene work. 
         -How to take cues from the situation and scene partners to enhance the scene.
