This class will cover the basics of stage acting, using games, slides and fun team work activities! Over the course of four weeks your child will learn basic stage terms, how to read a monologue, tips and tricks to engage an audience and how to do two-person scenes! Students will spend the majority of each class playing games and showing off their newly acquired acting skills for each other! This is an introductory class, so there is no need for any prior experience! Every great actor had to start somewhere! The goal of this course is for your child to gain confidence, communication skills and team working skills, while having fun in a safe and age appropriate environment! The course will be structured as follows: Week 1: Stage terms and how to build a character Week 2: What is a monologue? Week 3: How to act for an audience Week 4: Two-Person Scenes
