US Grade 9 - 11
In this class we will review strategies for the reading and the grammar sections of the ACT. Learners will get suggestions on how to best use these or other strategies for practice and during the test. They will be asked to apply these strategies as they practice for the test and make judgments about which ones to keep. The reasoning behind the course is that available books all contain basically the same testing strategies, but none of them address how to adapt these to each student. They are presented as one-size-fits-all, but learners have their own learning styles and comfort zones.
Learning Goals
Learners will learn test-taking strategies for the ACT and suggestions on how to adapt those strategies to their own learning styles and comfort zones. They will also receive suggestions for independent practice.
