Description

Class Experience

Often, young actors are intimidated by the risk-taking of improvisation, but the observation and listening skills learned through improvisation help learners become stronger actors. They're helpful in real life situations as well!
The goal of this class is that actors will listen to and communicate with one another, and will say "Yes, and..." to the other actors sharing their stage.
Annette has been teaching theater and creative dramatics for over 25 years, and specializes in working with children and teens. She has worked as a theater teaching artist with several non-profit organizations and also works as a drama coach and musical director.
Reflection questions will be given to students who wish to keep a log.
A notebook or binder for learners who wish to keep a journal
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will be watching clips from the classic improv show "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?"
