Class Experience

Are you preparing to take the ACT soon? Or are you struggling to get the score you desire? This Flex Course is for you! We are going to work on basic ACT test-taking strategies that will help you succeed in taking the ACT. Learn how to manage your time, stay motivated, focused, and answer the tricky ACT questions. In this complete comprehensive ACT course, we will spend time focusing on each subject of the ACT: English, Math, Reading, and Science. This course WILL NOT focus on the core content tested on but will focus on test-taking skills and strategies for taking the ACT.

This class will include short weekly pre-recorded videos and presentations by me on Outschool. After watching the weekly videos students will practice short timed practice sections of the ACT on Nearpod. Students will be partnered up to work on a short section of the ACT Test together through a google document. This will allow them to discuss the questions and how they came to that answer. I will be able to see the document and give them feedback and direction on areas they could improve. Students will share their experiences taking the ACT and share areas they need extra help with me. I can use this information to help tailor their ACT prep experience. Students will also be given access to a Google Drive folder with access to handouts, links to free ACT practice tests, and videos. Students will collaborate on their own ACT prep folder in Google drive where they share resources and strategies they have found useful online. As the teacher, I will be available to answer questions during the week and will respond within 12-24 hours.
