Strategies for Mastering the ACT with Success

Class Experience

US Grade 11 - 12
This class is taught in English.
Students will gain a complete review of math concepts, strategies, and formulas to use in their math portion of the ACT. Additional other concepts reviewed will be the filtering of potentially invalid options in the multiple choice selection, deductive reasoning, and overall test-taking skills.
The teacher, Daniel Tichota, is in his final semester for a Master's in Teaching, with a concentration in English Language Arts and Math. Upon completion of the Master's program, Daniel will be entering the Secondary Education level for teaching between 6th-12th grade. Daniel currently works with Tutor Doctor, specifically in the area of math for students from 3rd grade to 12th grade. He has assisted many with the ACT, all showing positively higher scores in the area of math*. As a student, Daniel advanced to Pre-Calculus in High School and has tutored a great number of students since graduating college in 1998.

Daniel holds a BA (Theology), MA (Business - Human Relations), and MAT (Secondary Teaching).

*This is based on students who took the ACT prior to his assistance compared to afterward.
Homework will include practice worksheets to aid in understanding of math concepts.
All practice work and tests will be provided by the teacher.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class will focus on the preparation for the ACT and in the final two classes the student will take practice test to see their status for the test itself.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
All practice pages and tests will be provided to the student as derived from the Tutor Doctor: ACT Success master guide.
