Do you love theatre? Have you always wanted to learn how to act? Now's your chance! In this ongoing class, learners will get individualized training in the art of acting! Learn from a professional musical theatre actor and drama teacher, developing your skills in theatre. The classes will begin with a warm-up, followed by a deep dive into acting through games, monologues, and scenes each week. Students will get the chance to work on scenes individually, in partners, and in groups. Students will learn acting techniques such as intentions, tactics, character development, physicality, and more. I believe in promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, where students feel comfortable being themselves and trying new things! No acting experience is necessary, though students should be at or above their grade's reading level, to avoid frustration when reading scripts. Join me as we become more confident actors!
