Class Experience

🌲 Let's talk trees - to be more specific, pine trees.

In this one time class, I will teach you how to paint a galaxy tree, a light tree, a dark tree, a tree silhouette, and a snowy tree, using acrylic paints. Knowing how to paint trees in different styles gives you the option to create so many unique landscape and scenery pieces. Imagine this - a misty forest with tree silhouettes, forest scenery with light and dark trees and a stream running through, a galaxy night sky with tree silhouettes in front, a glowy moon illuminating snow capped trees. Students will have the opportunity to paint along with me, ask questions, receive feedback, and share their paintings with the class if they wish. Students will be able to use what they learn from this class and apply it with their creativity to come up with amazing paintings!

Practice makes perfect and this is especially true for painting. The more you practice, the more your skills will improve.

*This class is a part of my Acrylics 101 series in which I teach a variety of acrylic painting techniques used to create scenery and landscape art. Each class covers a different topic in its entirety and students can enroll in other classes to build their painting foundation.

**Class times are approximate. Class time will take between 45-55 minutes depending on the speed of students' painting and number of students enrolled. Students may allot around 30 minutes of time outside of class to add any finishing touches or detail work to their paintings if they wish to do so.
Learning Goals
Students will learn a variety of techniques related to acrylic painting that can be applied in future art - how to create the impression of light and shadow, how to blend and layer colors, and how to paint a variety of pine trees.
