Class Experience
Students will learn basic acrylic painting techniques and how to follow step-by-step directions.
There is no homework for this class.
Students will need: An art space that is allowed to get messy! Water, paper towels, and a "palate" for paint (tin foil, wax paper, or a paper plate works well) Canvas or heavy duty art paper (11x14 is recommended, but any size is ok) 3 paint brushes: 1 wide, 1 medium, 1 small for detail work Acrylic paint (Craft paint is fine. It can be found at Michael's for $.70) White Black Green Red or Pink (for watermelon) Background color of student choice - I use Robin's Egg Blue :)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger students or those with fine motor needs may require additional hands-on support during the painting process.
