In this ongoing, weekly class, students will learn and practice one of the most freeing art styles: painting with a palette knife.
Class experience
With just a few tubes of paint, a canvas, and a palette knife, your art enthusiast can begin one of the most exciting and freeing art styles, creating impressionistic, beautiful paintings. Each class, students will watch as I paint and explain the techniques I'm using. Technique by technique, students will follow my lead, while adding their own flair, to create original works of art. Some basic acrylic (or oil) colors, including white, black, red, yellow, blue, green and brown Smaller sized stretched canvas or canvas panel (I use 8x10 inches for this class, but something up to, say, 11x14 is appropriate) Palette knife -- a small, traditional palette knife (should be shaped similar to a spade) Paper towels A palette of some sort (I like to just use a paper plate, but a real artist's palette will work too.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
